Our 10-day weather outlooks keep looking good, but as each day gets closer the weather report gets worse and worse. It looks like we might be finally having run of warmer weather. I have found that I am just not happy unless it's in the 80's. I know that is too hot for most people, but Mike and I are apparently cold-blooded. We are ready for summer to start!
We did have some great fun this last week. My sister in law, Robin, was in town with her kids for a couple weeks and Mike's brother came up for a couple days, too. Pesky work always gets in the way of fun. But we all got together last week and did a little swimming and a lot of eating. Perfection.
Mike made home made ice cream for us. There is nothing that tastes quite a good as homemade ice cream!
The boys are getting too big to hang out with the girls so they headed out to the front porch.
Speaking of swimming, Mike bought the kids one of these pop up pools. It took us a while to get it up and running properly. Not because it was hard but because we either just weren't home or it was raining when we were home. Summer, where are you?! But, now it's up and the kids have gotten in it pretty much every day, even if the temperature is only 70 degrees. They are having a blast. Jared doesn't last very long though. When you have zero percent body fat to keep you warm, cold pool water isn't your friend. At least he's learned to get out and get warm. In the past he would turn purple and shiver but refuse to get out. Crazy kid.
