Since Mike's brother, Brendan, and his family were in for Christmas, we had them over for Christmas Eve. It was such a special treat to have these cousins together. The Millers weren't there; they stayed in Florida for Christmas, and Mike's older brother's kids weren't able to make it. Their absence along with Mike's parents was felt, but it was still so fun to have Brendans here!
We tried to be a little traditional and Mike read the story of Jesus' birth. Sydney got it all on video tape, although I'm not sure she heard a single thing.
Then we (I) made the poor kids sit through a photo session in front of the tree. But, aren't they cute?! And so worth the time it took to get them all to sit (somewhat) together.
Finally! We let each of the kids open a gift so they had a little fun time together. I honestly don't know who had more fun: The kids or the parents!
