Last week, our niece Whitney and nephew Riley stopped by for a quick visit. Their mom was kind enough to send along two bags of clothes to pass down for Corban (and then Jared). My boys have been supplied with really nice clothes since the day they were born because of her and we are so thankful! But, the real treat was a visit with Whitney and Riley. We just don't see them often enough (their little brother Chase went home because it was getting late -- we let the kids get out of bed for the visit).
Sydney was so excited to 'catch up' with her cousin that she ended up bringing practically all her toys down to show them. Sydney is sort of named after Whitney. We wanted to use the middle name Esther, after Mike's mom, but were having trouble coming up with something that sounded good with Esther. Well, Whitney is Whitney Esther and since Sydney and Whitney sound similar, we knew Sydney Esther would work! That's a mouthful, but it always has special meaning for me. :)
Jared is always a little shy at first but then he doesn't stop talking about "all my cousins" for weeks. What a happy little guy!
