Corban's Kindergarten Christmas Program

Last night we went to Corban's Christmas program. Kindergartners through 2nd graders took turns singing Christmas songs. I can hardly believe my little guy is in school, let along having school programs. It was such a fun evening. The kids were so cute singing all of their songs. Almost every song had a prop to go with it. The kids all did really well ringing their bells and knowing when to keep them still. I was very impressed. During one song they had drum sticks they were supposed to hit together. Somehow they were a set short and Corban didn't have any. For a moment his face looked like he was going to cry. I know he didn't know what he should do and, knowing him, he probably felt embarrassed. However, he recovered really well. I was so thankful for that simple lesson and made sure to tell him afterwards how great he did, even when things didn't go as planned. And I'll never tell him that I sat out in the audience and just about cried for him!
I wish we had recorded some of the program. If only you could hear all those kindergartners singing Feliz Navidad! They worked so hard to get through the song and sing well the words they were unfamiliar with. So adorable!!!
In this song they are all holding their babies to represent baby Jesus. So sweet! Corban borrowed one of Sydney's dollies to practice with at school and use during the program. She was so happy to finally be reunited with her baby after Corban's performance.

Jared seemed to really love watching his brother and all the big kids perform.

Corban sure is a blessed boy! His grandma and grandpa Arteno came to watch him, too!
When Corban and his class got up on stage I watched his face: He got a huge grin when he saw us, but when he saw Grandma and Grandpa with us his face absolutely lit up!
Uncle Mike and cousin Gabe were able to come, too! What a wonderful evening!
