October Fun

This year we were determined to make it to Kingsway Pumpkin Farm before the very end of the month. It seems that each year we practically forget it's October until it's nearly over. We end up picking out pumpkins in the dark, wearing gloves and winter coats. But not this year! Last Wednesday presented itself as the perfect opportunity to head over and have some fun! The weather was beautiful (in fact, we even saw people wearing shorts! I would not have gone that far!) and Mike was even able to get home a little early so we could actually see the pumpkins and the animals at the petting zoo. The kids have so much fun here. Mary, one of the owners (I went to high school and am good friends with her daughter in law, Brittany - hi Brittany!) is very creative and has put fun photo opportunities all around. The kids just love it, and so does this scrapbooking mom! :)

A highlight, of course, is the train ride.
Jared is showing you where he got his foot stuck in a rabbit hole. He was very angry at said hole. My little drama king, that boy.
Corban found that if he dropped the feed just between the pigs that he could get them to snort and fight over it. He thought this was the most hysterical thing ever and spent most of his time right there.
And, we even got pumpkins! The plan is to carve them tonight so hopefully I'll have those pictures to share soon, as well.
