Just call us gypsies... I guess

You might have noticed we were back in Raleigh last weekend. And you might have thought we were crazy. We are. It was a very last minute decision. I was back at school but slightly stressed out because the kids were on their spring break. And they were begging to go to Raleigh. We knew we wouldn't haven another chance to take them until summer, so we decided to make a quick last minute trip down. That was Sunday. On Tuesday morning I texted my sister-in-law, Robin, to let them know we were heading down. They have been interested in seeing Raleigh, too, and wanted to join us sometime. They made the even crazier, more last-minute decision to meet us there since their kids had Friday off.

Mike and the kids picked me up from school Thursday evening - with the camper! - and off we went! We stayed overnight in a parking lot at Tamarack in WV and made it to Raleigh on Friday. We met Brendan and Robin and their 5 kids at Pullen Park in Raleigh to let the kids play for a while since they'd been stuck in a car all day.
Pullen Park:

We just had to take them to Kobe Hibachi and Sushi for dinner at the cleanest restaurant we had ever eaten at. And of course we followed it up with frozen yogurt!

I am not going to try to bore you with all the little details this time. We did a lot of exploring, visited the North Carolina Art Museum, the North Carolina History Museum and the Raleigh Farmer's Market. Of course we took them to Guasaca for lunch and also spent some time on Salem Street in Apex. You can find links to most of these placed in my previous post.

We visited our favorite little bakery, Buttercream's Bakery and sang Happy Birthday to Camryn. So fun! We never get to celebrate birthdays with Florida family!
We had dinner at Blaze Pizza in Garner. It's a little different trying to find places 12 people (8 of whom are kids) can easily eat together and visit. Holy cow did we pack a lot into a couple days. I'm sure Brendan and Robin's heads are spinning!

We wrapped up our trip by visiting the church Mike and I visited last time. We all sat together and took up a whole row. And the kids behaved, so this was a win! Now, back to reality and an incredible amount of laundry.

Oh, and we left the camper down at the campground! I guess we have to go back! :)
