What we've been up to...

Now for some family updates.
Jared turned 7 last month! I can hardly believe my baby is 7!! I'm sure I say that every year, but, wow. We went to Red Robin after church on his birthday to celebrate. Red Robin is one of Jared's favorite restaurants and it doesn't hurt that you get a sundae when it's your birthday! Mike didn't come with us because he was at the house working, but he did come home a little early that evening so we could go to Ci Ci's together. Ci Ci's is another one of Jared's favorite restaurants.

We also had our share of school Christmas concerts. Here is Corban before his concert. He just looks so big all at once!

We had a party for Jared at Pump It Up. This PIU was one of Mike's first jobs way back when he started work as a commercial contractor, but this is the first time we've actually had a party for one of our kids there. Jared was *so* happy. I told him he could invite everyone from his class at school, but he only wanted to invite the boys.

After dinner at Ci Ci's we came home for cake and ice cream with my parents.

Nothing makes Jared happier than a new set of Legos!

We also had Christmas at the rental. Macy seemed so perfectly posed that I just had to snap this picture. Do you love our little Charlie Brown tree? That was the only decorating we did this year. Easy to put up and easy to take down.

As soon as the kids opened their gifts we passed them boxes and told them to pack. I wish I was kidding. But, we took their new toys to the house that evening so they had something fun to play with over the next few crazy days.

We had lunch at Mom and Dad's house.

I honestly don't take too many pictures of Macy, but she has been particularly cute lately. Doesn't it look like she's got a huge smile while opening her gift from "grandma"?

Sydney got a beautiful bracelet from Grandma. She was so happy and my little girl suddenly looked like a young lady.

Here's another Macy picture at the new home. She really had a hard time with the move. It took her a few days to feel comfortable enough to go outside. We had to drag her out several times a day. She is doing much better now, thankfully. Although, she is still trying to get used to these hardwood floors!

She is not a lap dog. She's never has been much of a cuddler, but, like I said, this move has thrown her for a loop. She was more than happy to have some time with Mike, even though she barely fit!
