Miller Farm Field Trip

Last week, Jared's preschool class took a field trip to our neighbor Ray Miller's farm. It is always such a fun field trip!

Mr. Miller doesn't just have cows and horses on his farm. He has deer, peacocks, llamas, skunks, chickens, ponies, donkeys and more!
He let the kids feed the deer, horses, donkeys and llamas some bread. Jared was not very sure about feeding these giant animals! Sydney came along, and couldn't get enough of the animals. Jared did his best to hide behind my legs the entire time.
And, yes, I did say skunks! Even with their scent sacks removed, these are some stinky creatures! I was a little happy that Jared wasn't too excited about petting this animal!

Mr. Miller also let all of the children sit on a pony for a little photo op. Once again, it took some real encouragement to get Jared up on the pony. Sydney couldn't hardly wait for her turn!
The kids even got to milk a cow! Later that evening, Jared told Mike that he got to, "pull milk out of a cow". It's so cute the way the mind of a 3 year old works!

We had a lot of fun that day learning about all the sights and smells on a farm! But just in case you know me and are wondering: Yes. All our clothes, shoes and jackets went directly into the washer when we got home! ;)
