Last Saturday our church did a showing of The Polar Express for kindergartners through 5th graders. We let Corban invite a friend to come along, so he chose his buddy Dylan. Mike took the boys while I stayed home with Sydney and Jared.

Corban and Dylan were *so* excited to go! I love this picture Mike snapped of them waiting to go in, their eagerness evident on their faces. You can also see them holding their golden tickets just waiting for their turn.

They were told to bring pillows and blankets and come wearing their pajamas. Dylan looks so excited to see that they punched his ticket! Corban is trying on 3-D glasses for the first time. The movie was supposed to be in 3-D but Mike told me they had some technical problems and it wasn't in 3-D after all. But Corban hasn't complained once. For him, this afternoon was an experience to remember! And no trip on the Polar Express is complete without hot chocolate and cookies, which the kids also enjoyed!
