From our home to yours, we hope your holidays were filled with blessings, family and joy. And, most of all, sleep! We seem to still be catching up around here. Along with giving gifts to each other we have also been passing around some bug or another – not exactly the idea I had in mind when I started teaching my children to share. The kids and I seem to all be on the mend, but right now it’s Mike’s turn. And he’s not so happy about it. So, while he’s passed out on the couch next to me I’m going to take a moment and quickly share some pictures from Christmas.
We found out in early December that Mike’s parents would be in town for Christmas. What fun! We’ve been to visit them for Christmas, but I believe this was their first Christmas staying with us.
I had family over (both mine and Mike’s) on Christmas Eve after church. The kids opened gifts from all 4 grandparents on the same night! That was a special treat for them!
My mom and Mike’s mom found the Legos too much of a temptation.
Mike’s brother Wendell brought his 3 kids over to visit, too. They also brought gifts for our kids which were huge hits – with both the kids and the adults! Mike and Whitney spent a fair part of the evening trying to change Bumblebee the Transformer back to a Dodge Charger. We pretty much threatened Corban to be very careful about switching him back.
Riley & Chase picked out a Cars video game with a steering wheel that hooks up to the TV. Jared was so happy – and all the boys took their turns playing with it.
I try to get this shot every year, before the kids come down on Christmas morning. I wonder every year how much longer they’ll put up with me doing this!
Mike wanted to get Sydney a big girly gift. He picked out this dollhouse for her. We knew it was big but even we were surprised how large it was once it was built. She loves the fact that she needs a stool to reach the attic!
